Meet Our Founder
Hi, I’m Brynn, founder and formulator of Pasture & Petal.
I’ve always been drawn to making things, especially the kind of things that bring a little more beauty and care into everyday life. Before starting Pasture & Petal, I spent years formulating products for my family’s farm business, Fiddlers Green Farm, where I fell in love with the process of taking an idea, experimenting with ingredients, and turning it into something people genuinely enjoy using.
My path into skincare started with tallow. After experiencing what it could do for my own skin, I became fascinated by its potential as a foundation for thoughtful, modern skincare. I began experimenting with botanical oils, plant extracts, and other ingredients I loved, eventually creating the first formulas that would become Pasture & Petal.
Today, I formulate and make every Pasture & Petal product in small batches, approaching skincare with curiosity rather than rules. I care deeply about ingredients and where they come from, but I also believe taking care of your skin should feel approachable, enjoyable, and entirely your own.
Outside of Pasture & Petal, I’m happiest when I’m creating in some form, whether that’s painting, writing, cooking, working with my hands, or spending time outside. That same creativity is at the heart of this brand: making beautiful, useful things and sharing them with other people.

At Pasture & Petal, my vision is simple: to create beautiful, thoughtfully formulated skincare that makes taking care of your skin feel good.
I believe skincare doesn't need to be complicated or driven by what's trending. I pair grass-fed tallow with botanical oils, plant extracts, and other ingredients I've chosen with intention, creating formulas that are nourishing, effective, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
Pasture & Petal is rooted in an appreciation for where things come from, how they're made, and the beauty of making something well. Every product is formulated and made by hand in small batches, with care given to both the ingredients inside and the experience of using them.
My hope is to create skincare you look forward to reaching for. Products that earn a place in your everyday life, make your routine feel a little more special, and remind you that taking care of yourself doesn't have to be complicated.
Why Tallow?
Tallow is where Pasture & Petal began, and it remains the foundation of nearly everything we create. I first started working with tallow because of how incredibly rich and nourishing it felt on my own skin. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a love for formulating with an ingredient that is both beautifully simple and remarkably versatile.
Tallow is naturally rich in fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, which give it its deeply emollient qualities. In skincare, these fatty acids help soften and condition the skin while supporting its natural moisture barrier, making tallow an especially lovely base for skin that feels dry, tight, or depleted.
At Pasture & Petal, we use 100% grass-fed and finished tallow that is carefully rendered to create a smooth, neutral base. From there, we pair it with botanical oils, plant extracts, raw wildflower honey, and other ingredients chosen with purpose for each formula. Rather than treating tallow as the entire story, I think of it as the starting point, a beautiful foundation that gives me room to create thoughtful formulas for different skin needs.
There is also something I appreciate about giving new purpose to an ingredient that might otherwise be overlooked. Tallow is a natural byproduct of raising cattle for food, and using it in skincare allows more of the animal to be valued rather than wasted. That connection to thoughtful use and knowing where our ingredients come from feels especially meaningful to a brand born from life on a farm.
Tallow has been used in skincare for generations, and I love being able to work with such a simple, enduring ingredient in new ways. Its richness, versatility, and nourishing feel make it an exceptional foundation for Pasture & Petal and give me endless room to explore what I love most: creating thoughtful formulas from ingredients that each bring something special to the finished product.
